In September 2008 we experienced the holiday of our lives. Motivated by the BBC’s Wild Cat Diaries, we chose Kenya as our holiday destination. We booked two weeks in an all inclusive beach-side resort and spent three days, two nights in a fantastic camp in the beautiful Masai Mara.

The Masai Mara offers the unique opportunity to see the most number of animals per square mile. We spotted all of the Big Five, which are the lion, the leopard, rhino, elephant and water buffalo - and have the pictures to prove it! Although this cannot be guaranteed, you stand a greater chance by visiting the Masai. A truely fantastic experience - a decent camera is a must!
